All trussed up and no way to glow
![]()
OK... after gathering many of the components I need to do my first project from the "Physical Computing" text I am still waiting for my microprocessor to arrive in the post. I really wish Manhattan had some sort of hobby/electronics shop with this stuff on the shelf, If anywhere I would think it would be in New York City.
Above is my breadboard with all the components needed except the Basic Atom Pro 24 that I ordered. The microprocessor is the expensive bit and I am just praying that I don't fry it the first time I go to hook it up.
All in all, this is all very cool and taking the baby steps will lead to the more impressive work later. Right now I am still sorting out how the breadboard works and how to read an electrical diagram.
So if all goes well on monday or tuesday my microprocessor will arrive and I'll have a little blinky light* Wow, all this for christmas lights.
I did revive an old toshiba and load the software from the Basic Micro web site.
