Maeda on Code
![]()
I am enjoying a new book, "Creative Code" by John Maeda, as I sat in a park in downtown Manhattan today reading this inspiring work, I was reminded of how design can't always do justice to reality. As I sat reading a layout with a faint leaf pattern and a leaf photo, the tree I sat below cast it's own beautiful leaf shadow on the page.
The book itself is a nice primer to the ITP program it seems, the forward by Red Burns sets forth the call to students to not be afraid to fail. I am looking forward to this fall, most of all to looking at learning as an act of faith.
As I enter the ITP program, I look forward to leaving any baggage at the door and having the time of my life. I am honored to be joining such a great program.
The book is worth a look*
